Creating and Editing Events

This article covers creating new calendar events, setting up recurring schedules, and modifying or removing events.


Creating an event

  1. Navigate to Calendar in the portal sidebar.
  2. Select New event (button in the top-right of the calendar header, or select an empty date cell in month view).
  3. Fill in the event form:
Field Notes
Title Required. The name that appears on the calendar.
Start date and time Required.
End date and time Required. Must be after the start.
All day Toggle to mark a full-day event. Time fields are hidden when enabled.
Location Optional. A physical address, room name, or meeting link.
Description Optional. Notes visible in the event detail card.
Attendees Optional. Add team members from the dropdown.
Recurrence Optional. See below.
  1. Select Save event.

Setting recurrence

To create a repeating event:

  1. In the event form, select the Recurrence field.
  2. Choose a frequency:
Option Behavior
Daily Repeats every day
Weekly Repeats on the same day of the week
Monthly Repeats on the same date each month
Custom Specify an interval and day pattern
  1. Set an end date or a number of occurrences, or leave it open-ended.
  2. Select Save event.

Recurring events appear on every scheduled date in the calendar.


Editing an event

  1. Select the event on the calendar to open the detail card.
  2. Select Edit in the card.
  3. Modify the fields you want to change.

For recurring events, you are asked which occurrences to update:

Option Effect
This occurrence Updates only the selected date instance
This and following Updates from this date forward through the series
All occurrences Updates every instance of the recurring series
  1. Select Save.

Deleting an event

  1. Select the event to open the detail card.
  2. Select Delete.
  3. For recurring events, choose whether to delete this occurrence, this and following, or all occurrences.
  4. Confirm deletion.

Deletion is immediate and permanent — deleted events are not moved to a trash state.
